Usa Today Named “really American” Cars

Globalization has been increasing steadily and this has made the distinction between American cars and foreign cars. In the U.S. market, Asian and European brands are making their presence felt. American car makers on the other hand are extending their reaches to other regions of the world.

With these things going on, it is hard to find out which vehicle is really American. This attribute plays a major role for American car buyers who are loyal to the homegrown brands like Chevrolet, Ford, and Chrysler. The line between foreign car and American cars has been blurred though by globalization.

Muscle Car Madness

With Dodge re-releasing the challenger, and Chevrolet re-releasing the camero, I think that a return of the muscle cars is up on us, and for a muscle car freak like me, this is a good good thing, it’s one of those that I thought would never happen, with all the tree huggers, hippies, and general whiners out these, I just figured that my dream to see the old American muscle again would be flushed away like so many classic American cars.

With all the people in this country that seem to think that import cars are built better, and so many people that just don’t believe in our country any more, I never thought that this day would come, I heard all the whining about these cars that first time around, I still remember t copy of car craft magazine that had a head stone on the front, the head stone read something like this high performance born in 1950; died in 1979, how true it was, and this due to the whiners, like Ralph Nader, the high performance world’s fly in the ointment.

However, people who are concerned with the environment do not patronize big, brash cars because they tend to be gas-guzzlers. For instance, a Hummer SUV gives a staggering nine miles to the gallon. Since I am also an environment minded person, American cars offer me a conflict of interest.

Reason for Buying American Cars in a Recession

With the down turn in a global recession and the American economy going down the tank, prices for used cars in the United States have never been cheaper. Importing American Cars to Canada can be a little daunting with all the importation Customs paper work and shipping logistics involved. But this can be all worth your while when you see how much money you save.

Even with the Canadian dollar at 85 cents U.S. you can save about 20% of what you would’ve paid for a used automobile in Canada even after you calculate the dollar exchange and shipping cost into the total cost of vehicle. The biggest savings are on mid range to high end cars; it’s really unbelievable the difference in prices. American Used Cars are thousands of dollars cheaper, it just show you how Canadians have been getting ripped off by Canadian car dealerships.
